This is one of the rarer breeds in our flock. Its origin can be traced back to the Romans. This stately bird handles confinement and free range equally well. Because of their quietness they are a great addition to a free range flock.
This breed has red earlobes but lays average sized creamy white eggs.
Our Dorkings are of the silver grey color. The hens in this breed are unique in that is more colorful than the rooster. But the roosters have distinct feathering that look like locks of hair when the wind is blowing.
